To assist the Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the position, and to ensure the protection of the company’s assets, compliance with gaming regulations, and the safety of guests and employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensures shift is properly staffed.
- Assigns, reviews, and approves work and break schedules.
- Reviews and approves timesheets, and reviews leave requests; first level for initiating disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, and accident reports, and submits to Director for approval.
- Provides training for new employees and periodic training for existing employees.
- Oversees daily operations.
- Administers special requests and directives by immediate supervisor or other departments.
- Assigns, coordinates, writes, and reviews, and follows up on reports.
- Conducts investigations as directed or necessary and reports findings via proper channels.
- Maintains proper log control, including daily activity log, supervisor shift report log, equipment repair log, tape control log, access log, incident report log, master security tape log, dub tape log, and others logs as necessary.
- Monitors activities in the casino and surrounding areas via CCTV and covert observations.
- Detects any theft, cheating, unusual, irregular, or illegal activities. Reports any incidents via proper channels.
- Other duties as assigned
- Thorough knowledge of all casino games, their procedures, how they are dealt and played; of slot operations and procedures; of cage operations and procedures including hard count and soft count.
- Ability to ensure adherence to procedures and to identify cheating scams, and theft from interior or exterior sources.
- Ability to recognize unsafe conditions.
- Working knowledge of the operation of surveillance equipment.
- Ability to train and supervise others.
- Ability to use a computer.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year casino surveillance experience as a surveillance agent
- Must have demonstrated the ability to supervise others
- Must have a good attendance record
- Cannot be related to, or close friends with, PGI employees in any money-handling area
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standing-10% /Walking-10% /Sitting-80%;
Office setting/secluded and segregated. Covert operations may require other working conditions and/or areas. - Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- On 24-hour emergency call.
- Required to work weekends, holidays and extended hours.
