Duties

As the Director Office of the National Training Center, you will:

Directs, executes, and oversees all national-level missions, operations, and programs of the Department of Energy's (DOE) Center of Excellence for security and safety training at the National Training Center (NTC).

Leads the systematic design, development, and delivery of state-of-the-art security, safety, and nuclear nonproliferation training programs based on rigorous job analyses and technical qualification standards.

Collaborates with and provides crucial training services to the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and other external government agencies in protecting critical national security assets, facilities, systems, and information.

Directs the operational maintenance and security of complex physical training infrastructures, including live-fire ranges, the Integrated Safety and Security Training and Evaluation Complex, and multi-platform remote learning systems.

Oversees the delivery of specialized security curricula, including Physical Protection Systems, Nuclear Material Control and Accountability (MC&A), Personnel Security Programs, and nuclear criticality safety to safeguard special nuclear materials.

Ensures workforce competency and technical proficiency in broad agency goals, overseeing comprehensive education in nuclear/industrial safety, worker safety and health, and environmental stewardship.

Administers the DOE Safety and Health Training Reciprocity Program and the Training Approval Program (TAP) to assess and standardize training curricula developed by diverse field sites and labor organizations.

Represents the Department on major inter- and intra-agency advisory committees, advising the Chief of Enterprise Assessments and senior DOE authorities on emerging trends, professional development standards, and safety/security qualification requirements.
