- Patrol hospital buildings, parking areas, and campus grounds by foot and vehicle to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Provide security services for patients, visitors, physicians, staff, and hospital property while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Respond to emergencies, security incidents, and safety concerns with professionalism, sound judgment, and a calm demeanor.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other security technology to identify and respond to potential security risks.
- Conduct routine security inspections of facilities, grounds, entrances, and critical infrastructure.
- Assist patients, visitors, and staff by providing directions, escorts, and general assistance as needed.
- Enforce hospital policies and procedures by addressing unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, safety concerns, and other security-related issues.
- Complete accurate and timely incident reports, investigations, and required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with hospital leadership, clinical teams, local law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments during emergency situations.
- Participate in ongoing training, including de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, patient restraint, and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain department-issued equipment and perform additional duties as assigned in support of a safe healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid NM Driver's license and no DUI/DWI within last five years
- 1 year of security experience
- Hospital environment
