Data Cable Installer – Entry-Level | Computer Solutions Group | Albuquerque, NM

Computer Solutions Group is looking for a Data Cable Installer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. No prior experience required—training provided!

We offer on-the-job training in:
Fiber-optic termination;
Low-voltage cabling;
Equipment mounting, installation, and connection procedures;
Local building codes

This is NOT an IT position. It’s an excellent upskilling opportunity for experienced construction helpers looking to grow in a technical trade!

• Low-voltage cabling
• Electrical work
• Construction or related trades

• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage & fiber optic cabling
• Install raceways, cable trays, and low-voltage conduits (indoor/outdoor)
• Set up and mount patch panels, cabinets, racks, multimedia equipment, cameras, wireless antennas, and access points
• Perform tracing and repair of cabling systems
• Work in high-security environments as needed
• Follow all safety and quality codes and local building regulations

• Previous experience in data cabling or fiber optic installation (preferred, but not required, we will provide training)
• US Citizenship preferred
• Current NM driver’s license required
• Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring
• Fluent in English (spoken & written)
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and work on ladders/stairs
• Comfortable kneeling, bending, and working in various environments
• Basic computer skills for online ticketing systems (preferred)
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints
• Flexible for occasional overtime (nights & weekends)
• Strong problem-solving & critical-thinking skills
• Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with coworkers, customers, and other trades
