This position requires a licensed underground utility locator. No exceptions.

• Use professional locating equipment to track the drill head underground
• Communicate real‑time depth, pitch, and direction to the drill operator
• Ensure the bore stays within approved alignment and depth tolerances
• Prevent utility strikes by maintaining safe clearances at all times
• Walk the bore path ahead of the drill and identify obstacles or hazards
• Confirm entry and exit points match the approved bore plan
• Mark the bore path and maintain constant visual control of alignment
• Assist with potholing and exposing utilities when required
• Help set up pits and maintain safe, compliant work zones
• Support the drill operator and ground crew as needed
