Maintain City irrigation systems including the adjustment and control of irrigation schedules, maintenance and repair of irrigation lines, sprinklers and valves and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours vocational training in construction, landscaping, irrigation, or facilities maintenance; and two (2) years irrigation system maintenance experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
Environmental:Shop and field environment; exposure to electrical energy, inclement weather conditions and dust; work around construction equipment.
Physical:Essential and supplemental functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, bending, crouching, or walking for prolonged periods; light to moderate lifting and carrying; operating motorized equipment and vehicles.
