Journeyman, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Installation Technician

Overview

American National Insulation, part of the Top Build family of companies, is seeking a Journeyman Insulation Installer. The role focuses on practicing best insulation practices and training helpers, supporting our mission to deliver energy‑efficient building materials.

• Practice best insulation practices and train insulation, plaster, sealer, and spray helpers.
• Install products as allowed by collective bargaining and project labor agreements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Measure, shape, and cut materials to specified measurements.
• Insulate, spray, plaster, trowel, seal, cover, wrap, staple, glue, and fit insulating, sealant, foam, and other materials.
• Review daily work schedule and ensure truck is loaded with all products, tools, and equipment.
• Complete vehicle safety and job‑site inspections.
• Safely unload and stage material at job sites.
• Report safety, customer, or quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Perform any other duty, task, or responsibility assigned per the CBAs.

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid driver’s license required if operating a company vehicle.
• This is a safety‑sensitive position.

Local travel with occasional out‑of‑town trips as required; daily travel to job sites.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and stand as needed, including ladder climbing and confined spaces.

Hourly rate: $22.49 (actual base salary varies based on relevant factors).
