About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker / Carpenter to join our Millworks Department. This position focuses on custom cabinetry and architectural millwork for commercial construction projects. You’ll work with high-quality materials and collaborate with a skilled team to deliver precision craftsmanship for offices, retail spaces, and other commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, and techniques. - Custom Cabinetry & Millwork:
Fabricate, assemble, and install cabinets, countertops, shelving, and other custom wood components. - Installation:
Install doors, windows, trim, molding, and hardware with accuracy and attention to detail. - Finish Carpentry:
Apply stains, varnishes, and sealants; install decorative trim and ensure a polished final product. - Tool & Equipment Use:
Operate hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, routers, sanders) safely and efficiently. - Quality & Safety:
Maintain compliance with safety standards and perform quality checks to meet project specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cabinet making or millwork for commercial construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Experience with architectural millwork and commercial cabinetry.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and advanced woodworking tools.
- Knowledge of commercial construction standards and timelines.
- Pay is dependent on experience, typically ranging from $18 to $22 per hour.
