Job Summary

The Boiler Technician is responsible for maintaining, operating, and repairing heating and cooling systems, providing emergency service calls, and handling equipment, tools, and vehicles. The role requires travel, availability for overtime, and the ability to work weekends and nights. Candidates will learn skills to perform work with minimal supervision and assist in sales generated from field visits.

Essential Functions
  • Willing to travel to job sites and provide routine and emergency services.
  • Will have security clearances and ability to enter federal and state facilities.
  • Available to work weekends, overtime, nights, and odd schedules.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, emails, quotations, and jobsite/tool warning labels.
  • Willing to advance to Lead Boiler Technician upon completion of all required tests, certifications, trainings, and licensing.
  • Must be clean‑shaven and well‑groomed; facial hair must be removed per safety regulations and customer requirements.
  • Complete M.S.H.A., O.S.H.A., and other training (paid by the company).
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, crouch, walk, reach, stretch, see, hear, touch, and write legibly.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing pipelines (gas, water, chemical, steam, etc.), boilers, water heaters, pumps, compressors, motors, controllers, valves, and heat exchangers.
  • Prepare and maintain records on maintenance, oil, gas, and chemical consumption, steam and hot water production, and submit paperwork, timesheets, and work orders timely and legibly.
  • Comply with all employment policies: safety, drug and alcohol, employee handbook, and customer/job‑specific guidelines.
  • Cooperate with state, city, and other inspectors, jobsite foremen, and local authorities as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned effectively and professionally.
Requirements
  • Preferably Pipe‑Fitter (JPF) or Gas‑Fitter (JG/JPG).
  • Boiler Operator License (BO1/BO2).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • No criminal background.
  • Proof of American citizenship status.
  • Ability to pass multiple drug and background screens.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical/electrical experience.
  • Unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
