Job Title
Perform a variety of painting functions on assigned grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment; mix and blend paints according to established guidelines and perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Essential and Supplemental FunctionsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions may include but are not limited to the functions listed below. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
High school diploma or GED; and One (1) year of painting experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental: Field environment; travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, fumes, gases, solvents, potentially hazardous chemicals or materials; work at heights on scaffolding and ladders. Physical: Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for moderate to heavy lifting; standing, bending or kneeling for prolonged periods; operating motorized equipment; and the ability to distinguish color. May be required to work in unfavorable weather or environmental conditions.
Shift work or weekend work may be required.
