Irrigation System Maintenance
Maintain City irrigation systems including the adjustment and control of irrigation schedules, maintenance and repair of irrigation lines, sprinklers and valves and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours vocational training in construction, landscaping, irrigation, or facilities maintenance; and Two (2) years irrigation system maintenance experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
Environmental: Shop and field environment; exposure to electrical energy, inclement weather conditions and dust; work around construction equipment. Physical: Essential and supplemental functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, bending, crouching, or walking for prolonged periods; light to moderate lifting and carrying; operating motorized equipment and vehicles.
