Water Restoration Associate; Helper

Position Overview

Assists Water Restoration Technician/Lead in monitoring, inspections and completing tasks for Water Restoration jobs to ensure completion of drying, demolition and various restoration activities. Supports preparation of review documents—including notes, photos and other documentation—according to company policies and procedures to secure reimbursement from insurance companies.

• Perform water/fire/smoke damage and mold remediation repair as directed by supervisor, including water extraction, pack-out of contents, removal/disposing of non‑salvageable materials, cleaning, light construction and demolition.
• Set up and monitor air movers and/or dehumidifiers.
• Execute any additional cleaning duties (e.g., construction cleaning, fire/smoke/odor cleanup, mold remediation, carpet and upholstery cleaning) when part of mitigation or restoration jobs.
• Report equipment malfunctions, customer problems or damage to supervisor.
• Complete assigned job tasks according to company processes while maintaining quality control.
• Assist Water Tech/Lead with work orders, check routes for travel, ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck, and arrive at work site on time.
• Ensure equipment, supplies, vehicles and products are properly handled and reported for any malfunction or damage.
• Resolve customer issues, communicate daily job activities with Water Tech/Lead.
• Assist with taking photos and documentation per company policies and procedures.

• Experience in the restoration or construction industry not required but preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with using mobile software to enter data.
• Ability to read and follow product label usage instructions.
• Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
• Certifications are not required but preferred: WTR – Water Damage Restoration Technician, ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician, IICRC – Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification.

• Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or other repositioning of objects.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required.
• Express or exchange ideas quickly, receive and act on detailed information given.
• Must be able to seal respirators to face when required for safety reasons.
• Use visual acuity for detail‑oriented activities.
• Work in various indoor and outdoor conditions, with or without air conditioning and heating.
