Commercial Maintenance Technician – Direct Hire
Location:
Albuquerque, NM
Pay Rate: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekend/night availability is a must

Education RequirementsHigh school diploma, GED, trade certification, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience preferred. Relevant training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building maintenance, or related skilled trades is highly valued. EPA Universal Certification preferred. Valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
Experience Requirements2 to 5 years of experience in commercial facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or related trades. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs. Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial building systems and equipment. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency using smartphones, tablets, work order management systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in landscaping, construction, janitorial services, or specialty maintenance is a plus.
Sewer line cleanout and plumbing repair experience preferred.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in various commercial property environments. Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Capable of safely working around mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and maintenance tools. Daily travel between customer locations required.
Job DutiesPerform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and routine inspections on commercial buildings, equipment, and grounds. Complete work orders involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, lighting, and general facility repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve building maintenance issues to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. Inspect assets, document completed work, and maintain accurate service reports using mobile technology. Coordinate materials and supplies needed to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strong relationships with property stakeholders. Follow OSHA regulations, safety standards, and maintenance procedures at all times. Prepare repair recommendations, support project estimates, and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.

What You Will Do As a Commercial Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.
The Commercial Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the long-term performance of equipment through inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role requires technical knowledge, mechanical skill, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability. Successful Commercial Maintenance Technician professionals use diagnostic thinking and practical experience to identify maintenance needs, complete repairs, and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the workplace.
