PNM is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to join our Transmission & Distribution team in Albuquerque, NM. This union position ($51.51/hour) involves constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground power lines, substations, and street lighting.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and mentor apprentices and skilled workers on electrical infrastructure projects.
- Install, repair, and maintain transmission and distribution systems, including poles, transformers, circuit breakers, and underground cables.
- Troubleshoot and restore electrical service, perform emergency repairs, and ensure system reliability.
- Maintain safety standards, train personnel, and administer first aid when necessary.
- Conduct inspections, install metering equipment, and service street lighting.
- Experience with high-voltage systems, cable construction, and power distribution.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures and tools.
