Fiber Optic Puller – Field Crew Position No experience required

Join a fast‑moving fiber team installing underground cable across New Mexico. This is a hands‑on, physical field role where you’ll learn how to pull fiber, operate equipment, and support real telecom construction projects.

What You’ll Do
  • Pull and blow fiber optic cable through conduit, vaults, pedestals, and duct
  • Set up pulling equipment, prep job sites, and maintain safe work zones
  • Operate fiber blowers, hydraulic pullers, and other tools
  • Apply proper tension to protect fiber and prevent damage
  • Read diagrams and work orders to ensure correct routing
  • Drive to job sites and work outdoors
  • Communicate with foremen and crews to meet project goals
  • Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance
  • Assist with potholing, setup, cleanup, and general crew tasks
  • Prevent utility conflicts and maintain organized, compliant work areas
What You Need
  • No experience required

  • Willingness to learn fiber pulling and safe installation practices
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a crew
  • Ready for outdoor work and physical labor
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
  • Problem‑solving mindset and adaptability
