Traffic Control Technician II

Road Safe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Technician II to safely set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices for roadway, utility, and infrastructure projects. Working in a fast-paced, field-based role, you will install signs, cones, barricades, and lane closures per MUTCD and company standards, perform flagging operations, and monitor work zones to protect crews and the traveling public. You'll join a safety-first, team-oriented culture with strong training, clear procedures, and advancement opportunities on critical transportation and logistics projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices per plans and MUTCD standards
• Perform safe flagging operations to direct motorists and construction traffic
• Inspect work zones regularly and adjust layouts to maintain safe traffic flow
• Load, unload, and position signs, cones, barricades, and related equipment
• Operate company vehicles and basic field equipment in a safe, compliant manner
• Communicate with crew leaders, contractors, and the public via radio and in person
• Follow all Road
• Safe and regulatory safety policies, PPE requirements, and procedures
• Report incidents, near-misses, and hazards and assist in maintaining daily logs
• Support night, weekend, and overtime operations as project needs require
• Participate in ongoing safety and skills training and mentor junior technicians
