Mechanic Assistant

Job Summary -

We are seeking a dependable Mechanic Assistant with a solid foundation in basic mechanics to support our maintenance team with servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment. This role is ideal for someone who already knows their way around a tool set, understands fundamental vehicle systems, and is eager to expand their skills under the guidance of experienced technicians. • Assist mechanics with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment
• Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, tire repairs, and fluid checks
• Clean and organize the shop, work areas, and tools
• Prepare parts, materials, and tools needed for repairs
• Help with equipment moves and deliveries as needed
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision
• Assist with inventory counts and ordering supplies
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the shop team
• Must have their own set of tools

• Prior experience in automotive or equipment maintenance is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
