Position: Housing Resource Center Manager

The Housing Resource Center (HRC) Manager is a dynamic, cross‑functional leadership role that supports housing stability through direct service, program oversight, and relationship building. This position oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the Housing Resource Center and also supports the Move‑In Mentor (MIM) Program, working flexibly across programs as community needs grow and evolve.

This is a hands‑on role that blends people leadership, housing navigation, and program development. You'll supervise a small team, support clients directly, and help design and refine systems that ensure high‑quality, responsive housing services.

Primary Duties & Essential Functions
  • Directly supervise Housing Resource Center staff, including Housing Navigators and Move‑In Specialists.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance guidance that supports staff growth and program excellence.
  • Provide overall leadership for the Housing Resource Center, ensuring services are welcoming, effective, and compliant.
  • Supervise and support HRC staff, including Housing Navigators and Move‑In Specialists.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, balanced workloads, and alignment across HRC and MIM programs.
  • Support early program implementation and growth by helping build workflows, tools, training materials, and best practices.
  • Offer front‑line, time‑limited housing support, including intake and assessment, rental searching, applications, and documentation.
  • Assist clients with landlord communication and problem‑solving.
  • Provide basic housing‑focused financial education related to move‑in costs, rent, and utilities.
  • Connect clients to community resources through warm handoffs and follow‑up support.
  • Coordinate one‑time financial assistance (such as move‑in or utility assistance).
  • Ensure accurate payment processing, documentation, tracking, and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with landlords, property managers, and community partners.
  • Represent the program in collaborative spaces and support resource alignment across systems.
  • Document services and outcomes accurately in required data systems.
  • Contribute to reporting, quality improvement, and continuous learning efforts.
  • Collaborate across programs to strengthen services and improve client experience.
Education

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's (BA) degree in human/community services, social work, psychology, or related field
    • In lieu of BA degree, a high school degree or equivalent and 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in housing navigation, case management, housing counseling, homelessness prevention, or related human services work
  • Knowledge of landlord‑tenant rights and responsibilities, housing stability strategies, and community resources
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across programs
  • Proficiency with standard office technology, including Word, Excel, Outlook, databases and virtual meeting platforms
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
