Job DescriptionThe Albuquerque Sign Language Academy (ASLA) is in search of a passionate Full-time, Licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist who is dedicated to integrating clinical practices to bring out the best learners that students can be.

As one of the most innovative educational programs in the nation, the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy is an award‑winning, nationally recognized, ASL/English dual language school that provides deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing students and families access to a 21st‑century education that incorporates American Sign Language (ASL) and English in an inclusive environment. All ASLA students—whether hearing, deaf, or in need of ASL to communicate—learn in ways that better connect them to their family and community.
The ASLA is the first and only state‑certified ASL/English dual language program in the nation, and is driven by the belief that ASL has a deep power to connect people, unite families, and improve the quality of life. For more detailed information about the school, please visit the website at
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and adaptive communication disorders
- Service students from grades K-12 with support in the Honey‑Badger transition program (ages 18‑22)
- NMPED License or be able to obtain
- American Sign Language proficiency is not required, but preferred
- 2‑week fall, winter, and spring break
