Community Support Worker
The Community Support Worker (CSW) delivers Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS), a service that is focused on collaboration with the adult/family /youth to identify and address barriers that limit development of skills necessary for independent functioning in the community. CCSS also focuses on developing strengths which may aid adults, youth and family in the recovery and resiliency process. Community Support Workers coordinate and provide services and resources for adults, youth, and families as identified by the individual or family to promote recovery, rehabilitation, and resiliency.
Community Support Workers address goals specifically in the following areas: independent living, learning, working, socializing, and recreation pertaining to clients' needs, strengths, and specific impairments. The Community Support Worker also supports an adult, youth, or family in a crisis situation and provides individual interventions to develop or enhance a person's ability to make informed and independent choices.
Bachelors or better in Psychology or related field.
