LifeROOTS is a nonprofit organization that provides services that promote independence and community inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities and other support needs. We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and reliable professionals to join our Supported Employment team as a Job Coach.
This position is ideal for someone with experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community employment settings, including DD Waiver supported employment services.
This role also includes participant support coordination, documentation, communication with interdisciplinary teams, and assistance with ISP-related service activities.
This is not a remote position. This is a community-based role that requires daily travel throughout Albuquerque to support participants at job sites and in the community.
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site job coaching and employment support to individuals with developmental disabilities in community workplaces
- Teach and reinforce job tasks using task analysis, prompting, modeling, and fading supports
- Help participants build independence, workplace confidence, communication skills, and successful work habits
- Support participants in maintaining competitive integrated employment aligned with their vocational goals
- Assist with participant support coordination, service documentation, and ISP-related activities
- Communicate professionally with employers, coworkers, families, guardians, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with workplace accommodations and identify strategies that support participant success
- Help develop natural workplace supports and promote workplace inclusion
- Participate in ISP and IEE implementation and documentation
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely in accordance with DD Waiver standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members regarding participant progress and support needs
- Support participants in both short-term and long-term employment settings
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times
Preferred Experience
- DD Waiver Supported Employment
- Job coaching in community employment settings
- Vocational rehabilitation or employment services
- Working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Behavioral prompting and support strategies
- ISP or IEE documentation
- Community inclusion and employment retention services
