WIOA Adult / Dislocated Worker Career Development SpecialistThe Mid-Region Council of Governments / WCCNM seek professionals to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult / Dislocated Worker Career Development Specialist shall be a highly motivated individual committed to community-based socioeconomic development, with a background in case management, work force development, and knowledge of local needs and trends in workforce development.
Possesses the ability to establish linkages with employers, screen and assess participants, refer and place participants into training and employment. Implements policies set forth by the Workforce Connection of Central New Mexico (WCCNM) and Mid Region Council of Governments (MRCOG) Board of Directors while implementing the goals set forth to the Central Area Local Workforce Development Board.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred qualifications include: bachelor’s degree in business, Social Services, or related field from a recognized 4‑year college or university and 2 years of experience in similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be provided to applicants that possess experience and knowledge related to the WIOA Adult / Dislocated Worker Program.
