Join The CPLC CACFP Outreach Team

Make a difference beyond the table! Join the CPLC CACFP Outreach team! The CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) is a USDA federal program that pays for healthy meals and snacks at homes that serve children up to age 13 and adults that receive in home care or are functionally impaired. The CACFP follows the government guidelines for healthy eating.

This will be an in office position with expected statewide travel approximately two weeks out of the month. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a government food program and/or working with home care providers.

How Will You Make An Impact In This Role?

You will be conducting childcare facility visits to ensure the facilities are feeding the children based on the USDA food regulations. You will be responsible for recruiting childcare facilities to assist them in establishing a monthly claim for reimbursement for their food program. You will be responsible for ensuring that home providers meet United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

High School Diploma or GED and two (2) progressive years of experience in general office procedures and customer service. Social services and accounting background experience is a plus. Bilingual a plus but not required. Other requirements:
Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable. Certifications may be required as position mandates. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
