The objective of the Space Development group is to provide innovative technology solutions to ensure our Nation achieves and maintains space superiority in a multi‑domain conflict. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to develop space combat power and multi‑domain simulation software that supports force structure planning, digital testing and training, joint combatant command analysis, Space Force testing and training, and research and development of space systems.

• Collaborate with the team using Confluence, Discourse, Git Lab, and Jira
• Perform code reviews and ensure high‑quality standards
• Partner with government leadership to align objectives
• Capture customer requirements and feedback
• Provide status updates and progress reports to leadership and customers
• Conduct multidisciplinary research to support modeling and simulation goals
• Contribute to software architecture and team vision discussions
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug space simulation software

• 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 7 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD or JD; or high school diploma and 13 years experience
• Strong proficiency in C++, including compiling, linking, and debugging
• Successful completion of a technical coding challenge in C++
• Hands‑on experience with agent‑based, event‑driven modeling and simulation (constructive simulation experience preferred)
• Experience with space systems and concepts (coordinate systems, time, orbital propagation, etc.)
• Ability to analyze complex challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions under pressure
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret/SCI clearance

• Proficiency in Python, including embedded Python applications
• Knowledge of space domain awareness and space combat power
• Background in math or physics
• Familiarity with parallel software development
• Familiarity with U.S. and Allied space enterprise positions
