The WorkEstablish, capture, and maintain the software configuration baseline. Create and maintain paperwork for change orders, research, implement, and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS) software products. Perform configuration‑management tasks to ensure new parameters are documented and in accordance with updated system requirements. Perform build procedures used to develop software product development and use.
Ensure software configuration standards and policies are met. Train software developers in the use of configuration‑management tools and implementation of software quality standards. Maintain the software configuration management system, including collection and distribution of associated baseline data, change‑request processing, change‑order documentation, and verification that products meet operational environments and standards. Implement long‑term organizational objectives for software process improvement and ensure accurate and verified baseline data.

- Understanding of configuration and data management, including both software and documentation baselines.
- Ability to produce consistent, accurate, and positive results with minimal direction and supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Experience in software design and development, including configuration‑management‑type tasks and activities.
- Experience with configuration/version control, deployment, tracking, and development tools – examples:
Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, and Ansible. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility and determination to learn new skills.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to receive Secret security clearance.
- Current/active CompTIA Security+ Certification (IAT Level II certification or higher).
- Understanding of configuration‑management concepts, able to assist in documenting hardware and software configuration‑management processes.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with software‑development‑life‑cycle software configuration management.
- Experience in handling classified data in a classified environment.
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret.
