Software Engineer

Job Description

The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and have a thorough understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, and defined SW development methodology.

The successful candidate will be able to participate in all software life cycle activities including: planning, requirements analysis, design – architecture and detailed design, implementation, HW/SW integration, and verification/validation.

A strong desire to learn, implement, and advocate for the use of defined SW development methodologies, such as MIL-STD-498 or J-STD-016 and the best practices contained therein, may offset a lack of the preferred knowledge and experience.

The preferred technical knowledge and experience includes as many of the following as possible:

• VxWorks or other RTOS
• BSP
• Real‑time embedded SW
• PowerPC
• x86 processors
• Multi‑core and multi‑tasking techniques
• C/C++
• Ada
• Assembly
• OpenGL
• MIL‑STD‑1553
• UART
• RS232
• Gigabit Ethernet
• PCI express
• Serial Rapid IO
• Fibre channel
• Clear Case/Clear Quest
• Team View
• Competency in HW/SW integration in a lab environment
• Design and documentation skills including military development documents and methodology
• Control and Data Flow Diagrams

• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident due to ITAR restrictions
