Stellar Science is a growing Albuquerque-based scientific software development company seeking talented software developers to create and extend scientific and engineering analysis applications. We develop custom software products using modern technologies, including C++23, massive parallelization, and supercomputing resources.

Join our team to support research and development in modeling and simulation of high‑power microwave systems and high‑energy laser systems, image and signature prediction, and computational electromagnetics. We employ a lightweight agile process, making us highly productive and responsive to changing customer needs.

• Design, implement, and maintain scientific and numerical algorithms in C++.

• Develop and extend simulation tools for directed‑energy systems, RF and laser source modeling, propagation, and target effects.

• Optimize code for Linux and Windows platforms, including CUDA, OpenMP, MPI, and graphics rendering.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and testing.

• B.S. in physics, math, engineering, computer science, or a related field; M.S. or Ph.D. desired.
• Familiarity with state‑of‑the‑art radio frequency or laser modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience implementing, understanding, and maintaining mathematical and scientific codes.
• Object‑oriented design and programming in C++.
• U.S. citizenship; willingness to undergo background investigation and perform some work at customer sites.

• Directed energy modeling and simulation experience.
• RF or laser source, propagation and target effects modeling.
• Cross‑platform software development on Linux and Windows.
• 3D graphics, ray tracing, and physics‑based rendering.
• User interface development with Qt.
• Supercomputing, CUDA, OpenMP, MPI.

Code sample or C++ evaluation is required.
