Software Engineer, Front End Developer to support the Space Mission Systems (SMS) Rapid Space Capabilities (RSC) portfolio, focused on the Rocky program. Locations:
Albuquerque, NM;
El Segundo, CA;
Kent, WA.

• Lead the design, development, and analysis of user interfaces of software systems
• Partner with stakeholders to translate software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements
• Lead completion of system‑level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities
• Lead software engineers to complete code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards
• Lead review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards
• Research and oversee implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., development, design, review preparation, customer coordination, closed area development, etc.)

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 3+ years’ experience with Front End software languages, frameworks, and libraries (HTML5, JavaScript, React, API integration, etc.)
• Experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object‑oriented design and software patterns

• Level 4: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
• Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance
• Experience developing Frontend user interfaces using Astro UX
• Experience with Software Engineering principles including, but not limited to, Software Configuration Management, Software Architecture and Design, and Software Life Cycle Management
• Experience with Java, C++, Python, JS frameworks (React, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and OpenAPI
• Experience using dependency management and automation services (Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Familiarity with practices such as test‑driven development (TDD), agile software development, Dev Sec Ops , and CI/CD management
• Experience with front end software for control systems, embedded FPGA, low latency deterministic, operator interfaces, and/or control gimbals, ground antennas, optical sensors

Position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.

Pay is based upon experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.

Pay Range – Experienced Level (Level
3): $126,650 – $182,850

Pay Range – Senior Level (Level
4): $160,650 – $232,300
