Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB. You'll design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain mission-critical software and backend services while supporting web applications, automation, CI/CD, and secure software development in a DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python.
• Support applications in Linux and Windows environments.
• Develop backend services, web applications, and SQL database functionality.
• Build automation using Bash and maintain Git/Git Lab repositories.
• Develop and support Git Lab CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot software issues and implement improvements.
• Support software deployment, configuration, and technical documentation.
• Ensure development activities comply with applicable DoD security requirements.

Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret clearance — required
• U.S. Citizenship — required
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field; equivalent qualifying certifications may be considered.
• Relevant experience:
  • Bachelor's: 9+ years
  • Master's: 7+ years
  • PhD: 4+ years
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) required within 60 days of hire.
