Position SummaryUniversity of New Mexico is inviting applications for a full-time Assistant Women's Swimming & Diving Coach / Recruiting Coordinator
. This position reports directly to the Head Coach and plays an integral role in all aspects of the Division I Women's Swimming & Diving program.
- Assisting the Head Women's Swimming & Diving Coach in the planning, organization, and daily operation of all phases of a Division I women's swimming and diving program
- Recruiting, coaching, mentoring, motivating, and evaluating academically and athletically qualified student-athletes in full compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association regulations, Mountain West Conference policies, and University guidelines
- Overseeing and ensuring adherence to administrative procedures related to team and recruiting travel, budget management, student-athlete eligibility, and academic progress
- Supporting alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach efforts as assigned
- Assisting with preparation and management of home and away competitions
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach
This role requires a highly organized, compliance-focused professional committed to student-athlete development and competitive excellence

- Compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required in this position.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Bachelor's degree; no previous experience required.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior participation and/or coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level
- Demonstrated success in recruiting, including experience serving as a recruiting coordinator
- Proven ability to lead and manage a training group through a full NCAA competitive cycle
- Experience in community outreach initiatives and active involvement in university-related activities
