Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)
Starting Salary: $65,239 - $94,567 annually
IA Stipend: $2,080
Sign-On Bonus: $12,500
Job DescriptionWe’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med‑Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Leonardo 119 airframe and ensure safe, timely, high‑quality transportation services to patients.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
- Manage inventory checks to ensure adequate supplies and equipment, update equipment tracking log, place replacement requests, and document part expenditures.
- Document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhere to policies and procedures, and comply with information security standards.
- Sustain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
- Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination among departments, vendors, and team members.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and operations team.
Required Qualifications
- Leonardo 119 maintenance experience.
- Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with at least six months of helicopter maintenance experience in the last 24 months.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning.
- Must live within one hour of the base.
- Must be acceptable under the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
- Ability to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certification.
- Related experience under CFR Part 135.
- Autopilot maintenance experience.
- Avionics and electrical repair experience.
