Route Driver Non-CDL

Pay Rate: $23.75 per hour. Paid weekly.
Shift: 4/10s - Weekdays, 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM Start. OT available.

The Medical Waste Route Driver is responsible for servicing assigned accounts, ensuring customers' needs are met for waste pickup and supply delivery. The role includes transporting waste between WMHS or customer locations, transfer sites, or processing locations, using company‑equipped vehicles with camera telematics, ELD, and GPS.

• Manage assigned routes to ensure safe, timely, and accurate waste pickup.
• Pickup and transport waste safely, complying with federal, provincial, and local regulations.
• Plan daily schedule based on customer needs, reviewing paperwork such as manifests, route sheets, and VCRs.
• Follow routing software schedule.
• Prepare, load, and unload trucks, ensuring and securing waste and supplies.
• Verify customers have properly packaged waste before transportation.
• Provide high‑level customer service, communicating issues and suggesting solutions.
• Secure all equipment and verify paperwork prior to highway operation.
• Complete required DOT driver logs and paperwork accurately.
• Report and communicate route changes, customer readiness issues, and any problems to the supervisor or dispatcher.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip truck maintenance and report issues.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required:

• 0–1 year of experience, preferably driving box trucks and managing routes.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Medical card obtainable from a certified examiner (CMV drivers).
• Ability to obtain necessary immunizations and credentials as required by customers.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, talking, hearing.

Work occurs in indoor and outdoor environments, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
