Night Warehouse Supervisor

The purpose of the Night Warehouse Supervisor is to assist the Night Warehouse Manager in the planning and management of night warehouse personnel to ensure all activities are performed effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

• Training personnel in the performance of assigned duties to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and in a safe work environment
• Planning, organizing, and directing scheduling to ensure logistics, workload, and daily goals are met as directed by the Operations Manager
• Counseling employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development
• Monitoring warehouse personnel to ensure completion of replenishment tasks during each shift
• Ensuring personnel are scheduled at appropriate intervals for allocation of resources in the warehouse
• Managing personnel by ensuring adherence to all BEK human resource and administrative policies and procedures
• Recommending or initiating personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures
• Assessing training needs of staff and providing or scheduling instruction as appropriate
• Conducting performance appraisals on all direct reports
• Enforcing safety principles to maintain a safe and secure work environment for all employees
• Attending all required safety meetings and training
• Offering suggestions and implementing improvements to the work environment
• Understanding and enforcing workers' safety rights regarding work processes and procedures
• Completing managerial and administrative tasks to ensure the proper and timely completion of required documentation and compliance with BEK financial goals
• Monitoring employee performance and executing fair, consistent, and effective discipline as needed
• Approving completed daily paperwork, including time/wage reporting, daily receipts, and other required documentation
• Maintaining and encouraging open communication amongst all employees and management personnel
• Performing other duties as required and directed by the Night Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• At least 6 years of warehouse experience required with 2 years of supervisory experience desired
• Food service and/or manufacturing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of warehouse, logistics, and general OSHA guidelines as they pertain to warehouse safety is required
• Ability to read and interpret rules/guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions
• Good computer skills with the ability to learn and use internal applications
• Must be able to work in all warehouse temperature zones (cold and hot)
