Warehouse Operations Inventory Management Receiving Material Handling Inventory Transfers

Ideal Vacuum Products is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. This position is focused primarily on receiving incoming shipments, processing inventory, and organizing materials within multiple warehouses and inventory locations.

* The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, the ability to quickly learn inventory management software, and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. On a typical day, our team receives 50 to 100 incoming boxes and freight shipments that must be inspected, received into inventory, labeled, and moved to the proper warehouse locations. This role is heavily focused on receiving operations and internal material movement.

While occasional shipping support may be required, the primary responsibility of this position is receiving and inventory handling.

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips
• Enter received inventory into inventory management software
• Print and apply inventory labels
• Organize and move products to warehouse storage locations
• Transfer materials between company buildings, departments, warehouses, and inventory locations
• Breakdown pallets and boxes using proper cutting tools
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts
• Assist with material transfers and warehouse organization
• Safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
• Occasionally assist with shipping, packing, and outbound order preparation as needed
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed

• Previous warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Ability to quickly learn inventory software systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the day
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Starting wage: $20-$24/hour and up depending on experience
