Position OverviewAs an Electrical Technical Specialist your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Design of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Involvement with continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods.
- Work hand-in-hand with craft employees
- Act as a resource for technical guidance to manufacturing personnel
- Assist in justification of new equipment
- Interface with other manufacturing departments to address and resolve technical issues
- Adhere to EH&S, quality, continuous improvement, and other company policies
- Integrated role as direct support of the Maintenance Organization.
- Respond to trouble calls on a 24/7 basis
- Note:
This position will require frequent shift and weekend line/maintenance support
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Electrical Technical Specialist who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Electrical Technical Specialist would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical systems and controls utilized in industrial applications.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Associates or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 5 years of experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
- 5 years' experience in product and process failure analysis and an understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, FMEA, RCM SPC, TQM, etc.
- Experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting AC drives, DC drives and AB Logix
5000 series Programmable Logic Controllers. - Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient problem solving and creative thinking skills.
- Strong maintenance background.
- Familiarity with instrumentation including HART communications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Gas fired combustion system exposure desired.
