Pay

$13.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Commission structure pays you for every transaction processed, with the potential to earn up to 8% on transactions.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire store staff to provide excellent customer service on both lending and retail sides. The role involves greeting and engaging customers, processing sales, loans, and other transactions, and assisting with inquiries and problem resolution across a wide range of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with all customers to establish rapport and recommend suitable financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and proper merchandise display.
• Execute sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items per established policies.
• Answer incoming calls to company standards.
• Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect.
• Collaborate with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully complete all assigned training.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit and personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.

Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
