Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative manages sales and customer support activities. This position serves as a primary customer contact for quotations, replacement parts, product information, and order support while proactively developing new business.

The ideal candidate has a strong hunter/farmer sales mentality—growing existing accounts while identifying new customers, markets, applications, and sales opportunities.

• Manage customer inquiries, RFQs, quotations, orders, and follow-up activities.
• Obtain pricing, availability, lead times, and technical information and prepare accurate customer quotations.
• Follow up on quotations and open opportunities to increase sales and quote-to-order conversion.
• Process and monitor customer orders, resolving pricing, shipping, invoicing, and other discrepancies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Conduct proactive outbound sales calls and prospect for new customers and markets.
• Re-engage inactive customers and develop new business opportunities.
• Develop working knowledge of products, applications, specifications, and replacement products.
• Review technical information and work with internal and supplier resources to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation, order, and sales activity records in ERP/CRM systems.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, operations, and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Attend customer visits, trade shows, supplier meetings, and other business-development events as needed.

• 3+ years of inside sales, customer service, or industrial sales/distribution experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to develop relationships and generate new business through proactive sales activity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn industrial products and applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Preferred:
Experience with OEM/industrial replacement parts, technical sales, motors, commutators, electrical equipment, or industrial components. Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.
