A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £50,000.

As an RAC Mobile Mechanic, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.

Equip you for success from day one – with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.

Your role will involve servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. You’ll manage your stock, do your reporting, and keep those customer conversations flowing.

We’re looking for someone who gets people. Our mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. You’re not just in the RAC – you are the RAC.

You like mixing things up. Every day’s a little different – servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. You’ll mix up your day: I’ll be working on a bonnet drain, then a minor repair, then a check. You’ll be trusted to think on your feet and make the right call for each customer.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
