We are currently recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Supervisor at our after‑school club at Wellington Primary School, Aldershot (GU11). This role is part‑time, term‑time only, working Monday to Friday from 3.00 – 6.00 pm.
The roleAs After School Club Supervisor, you will have overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day operations and management of the club. You will supervise and direct a small team, ensuring the safe and organised running of the club, fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office.
Every afternoon, you and your team will directly organise, deliver and participate in activities with the children in your care. You will ensure all activities are delivered to KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards at all times. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children to explore, grow and have FUN!
Key Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of the After School Club.
- Print off daily registers and manage safe and secure sign‑in and sign‑out processes each day, communicating effectively with school staff andΟΥ parents.
- Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities accordingly, directing colleagues as appropriate.
- Maintain awareness and sensitivity for children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
- Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club.
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies and procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead promptly.
- Ensure the club operates to Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies and procedures at all times.
- Carry out daily risk assessments and complete all relevant operational paperwork.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day, carrying out cleaning duties as necessary.
- Typically 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience in childcare, early learning or playwork.
- Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience working in a Primary School, Pre‑School or Nursery, such as a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager/Assistant.
- Reliability and passion are essential.
- Ability to relate to and engage with children aged 4–11 years.
