INVESTIGATOR OPEN POSITION
The Alexander City Housing Authority (ACHA) is currently seeking an Investigator responsible for enforcing laws and regulations in public housing communities owned and managed by the ACHA, establishing security and crime prevention programs, and enforcing laws and regulations in Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties as a result of sheriff’s department commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Enforce laws and regulations in ACHA public housing communities.
- Establish and maintain security and crime prevention programs.
- Enforce laws and regulations in Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties per sheriff’s department requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a two‑year college degree preferably in criminal justice and public safety with 3–5 years of related law‑enforcement experience, including undercover narcotics investigations, K‑9 units, or community‑, neighborhood‑, or problem‑oriented policing.
- Current P.O.S.T. certification required prior to employment or upon employment; must maintain firearms proficiency and physical requirements.
