Quantity Surveyor Position
We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to join our Spain Team in our project-site in Sevilla with experience in the construction industry to oversee and coordinate a hotel construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction monitoring, planning control, and site coordination, ensuring that all work is executed in compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Monitor hotel construction and renovation works, including civil works and installations.
- Oversee and control construction planning, ensuring projects remain on schedule.
- Coordinate with the Statutory Site Supervision to guarantee compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Act as the direct interface with the General Contractor for construction monitoring and issue resolution.
- Manage project documentation, including reviewing monthly certifications, planning schedules, and other construction-related documents in collaboration with the Site Management Team.
- Prepare and submit construction progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
- Participate in construction meetings, ensuring proper documentation and drafting of meeting minutes.
- Review and assess change orders in accordance with the project contract and scope.
- Report directly to the Project Manager and the Construction Manager, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and compliance matters.
- 10-15 years of experience in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Previous experience in hotel construction/renovation is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with experience in project reporting.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
