By joining our Equipment Section as a Transportation Auto/Truck Technician I, you’ll have the opportunity to complete preventive maintenance and initiate equipment repairs in the Equipment Section in Campbell County.
Summary Of Responsibilities- Maintains automotive vehicles and equipment by repairing, adjusting or replacing batteries, performing tune-ups, replacing and adjusting head and taillights, checking fluids and lubricants, changing filters and belts, changing, repairing and rotating tires, checking tire pressure.
- Operates tools and machinery in the repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles and equipment.
- Inspects and analyzes automotive vehicles and equipment for repairs and service.
- Mechanic experience
- Automotive and truck repair experience

Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR
SKILLS:
Must have two years of automotive/equipment/truck repair technical experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for
EXPERIENCE:
Vocational or technical school training in automotive/truck repair or a related area will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification. Employees in this job classification must furnish the agency's appointing authority within six months of employment in the job classification, documentation that he or she possesses a valid Class A commercial driver's license.
