Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift Claryville Alexandria, KY

Job Overview

This position involves operating a sit-down forklift to transport products to the warehouse and production floor. Duties include forklift operation, receiving and storing incoming items, maintaining a clean and organized storage area, and performing housekeeping duties as needed. The role may require periodic weekend and/or holiday work.

• Operate a forklift in a safe and orderly manner.
• Receive and store incoming items according to warehouse standards.
• Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled.
• Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area.
• Maintain records of daily check list (pre‑trip inspections).
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, safety, audit and food safety standards.
• May be required to work with production equipment and associated technologies.
• Must be able to read and understand manuals, blueprints, plant paperwork, labels, etc.
• The team member must be able to pass a forklift driving skills test.
• Meet performance/productivity standards.

• Perform carrying and lifting of products while reaching, bending, climbing, walking/standing to move product through the warehouse.

• 6 months work history with the same employer.
• 6 months forklift operator experience (can be from multiple employers) listed on application.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to three times of employment.
