Junior Estimator - Construction
Location: Alexandria, LA
Pay: $20-$25/hr (DOE)
Schedule: 30-40 hours weekly
Type: Direct Hire
A growing construction company in Alexandria is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support its expanding project workload. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to build a long-term career in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimating
- Review plans, specifications, and project documents
- Support senior estimators in preparing bids and proposals
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Experience in construction, estimating, or a related field preferred
- Drafting/design experience and working knowledge of CAD software strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints is a plus
- Strong math and computer skills
- Reliable, organized, and willing to learn
- Consistent weekly hours (30-40)
