Lead Piping Engineer - Plant ENgineering

Job Responsibilities

• Proficient in making equipment layouts, with a good understanding of equipment operation, maintenance needs and construction requirements in Plant Engineering.
• Study all types of drawings (GAD, P&, isometrics, vendor drawings and support detail drawings) & specifications of the job in advance, listing down the scope of work.
• Lead projects as Mechanical Lead, entailing man‑hour estimation, delivery schedules, input analysis, design reviews, model reviews, MTO, 2‑D drawing checks, quality checks, discussions with client and other departments, site queries and more.
• Have experience with clean design standards and requirements.
• Manage project allocation for the team and ensure resources are trained for the project needs.
• Have awareness of FMCG production process, from the RM dock to the FG dock.
• Awareness of 3‑D modelling tools such as Navis Works, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Solid Works, Inventor, etc.
• Proficient in making piping arrangements/layouts, preparing isometric drawings, and conducting nozzle orientation & equipment layout study.
• Experienced with international codes & standards as well as material specifications and valve data sheets. Knowledge of piping standards – ASME B‑31.3, BPE, etc.
• Acquaintance with designing industry‑related piping deliverables (skids, equipment general arrangements, isometrics, vessel sketches, pipe supports).
• Lead projects as Piping Lead, entailing man‑hour estimation, delivery schedules, input analysis, study piping, design reviews, model reviews, MTO, 2‑D drawing checks, quality checks, discussions with client and other departments, site queries and more.

Mechanical engineering professional with strong communication and analytical skills, engineering knowledge backed by a solid academic record and professional experience in piping and utility design.

Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering. Makes independent decisions concerning problems within the discipline on the project, represents the discipline on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions, and coordinates work as required.
