RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Full-time position with 2 openings available

• Every other weekend requirement

• No on-call responsibilities

• Required to float when needed

• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1, occasionally 6:1

• Care for patients with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and some med surg overflow

• Manage cardiac drips (no nitrate administration)

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA

• RN License in state of employment or compact required

• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire

• Precepted by designated trained staff member with competency validation requirements

• Complete annual competency verification requirements

• Temp to perm opportunity available

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation

• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness

• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided

• Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education
