Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location:
Alexandria, LA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2175/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms, providing direct patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent critical thinking and time management skills while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical interventions.
- Monitor telemetry, recognize and respond to arrhythmias, and promptly communicate findings to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols and patient safety standards.
- Assist with procedures such as heart catheterizations and support post-procedure care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Float to other Med Surg Telemetry floors as needed to support patient care needs.
- Must Have:
- Med Surg Telemetry experience
- Meditech experience
- Preferred:
- Strong time management skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Floating Areas:
- All Med Surg Tele floors
- Best Personality Fit:
- Positive attitude, friendly, helpful
- Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- License:
Active RN license in Louisiana
