DescriptionWe're looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an immediate travel opening in Alexandria, LA. The right LPN should have 1 year of experience in an Acute Care hospital setting. Read below for more requirements.
As an LPN in Acute Care, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries. Working under the supervision of RNs and physicians, you will assist in monitoring patient status, administering treatments, and supporting recovery in a fast-paced hospital environment.
As an LPN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Assist with patient assessments and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Document nursing care accurately and timely in medical records
- Support infection control and safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an LPN in an Acute Care setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.
LPNs in acute care must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing the demands of a dynamic clinical setting.
Requirements: ACLS, BLS, 1 Year
