Travel RN – Cardiac Cath Lab (Days)

Alexandria, Louisiana

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Temp-to-Hire Possibility

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, TAVR, and device implantations utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed therapies.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related nursing specialty.
• Ability to fulfill every third or fourth weekend rotation requirement.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation as collaboratively scheduled with unit staff.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience with TAVR procedures, peripheral vascular cases, and cardiac device implantations.
• Prior experience in a Critical Care setting.

• This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a specialized, high-acuity Cath Lab environment with a favorable nurse-to-patient ratio (1 patient to 4 staff members: 2 nurses and 2 techs).
• Temp-to-permanent conversion is a possibility, providing a potential pathway to long-term placement for the right candidate.
