Travel RN – Telemetry (Nights)

Alexandria, Louisiana

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients on a Cardiac and Telemetry unit.
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation.

• Current RN License in state of employment or compact state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Telemetry or related nursing specialty.
• Ability to work every other weekend as required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience caring for Cardiac and Telemetry patients (note: this is not a Stepdown unit).

• This 13-week travel contract offers the potential to transition to a permanent position for the right candidate.
• No on-call requirement, offering a predictable and structured night shift schedule.
